Our Mermaid Weeks are crafted to let your inner child heal, play, and embrace the magic in the most joyful way possible. This retreat is a safe haven built on mutual respect, acceptance, and a drama-free environment. Everyone is welcome and equally important, whether you are a hobbyist or a professional, whether you have a fabric tail or a silicone one, and regardless of how many followers you have on Instagram.

MerPeople Vacation Dates:

Because of the high demand, we have two dates available for our Mermaid Retreatt in the Maldives. Choose the week that suits you best:

Mermaid Week 1: September 14th – September 21st 2025

Mermaid Week 2: September 21st – September 28th 2025

 

Included:

  • 7 nights on the EcoPro Seascape Yacht (double room occupancy)
  • Support boat (fully equipped diving boat)
  • Dinghy (small inflatable boat)

  • The use of silicone tails from Mermaid Kat Shop (a selection of tails is available for hire but you would need to check with us at least 3 months prior to travel)

 

Price:

3,450 EUR for double occupancy in an underdeck cabin or 3,650 EUR for double occupancy in an upper deck cabin (Approx. 3,750 USD / 5,500 AUD for underdeck, 3,950 USD / 5,800 AUD for upper deck).

Early Bird Offer:
Book and pay your deposit by September 30, 2024, to receive a 200 EUR discount (Approx. 220 USD / 320 AUD).

Deposit:
A 20% deposit is due immediately after booking.

 

Additional options:

You can extend your stay in the Maldives for another week at the Royal Island Resort and Spa Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The price here is 1,500 EUR per person for a double room occupancy in a beach villa (approx. 1,630 USD / 2,390 AUD). In addition, the price includes full board for the week.

For example, the MerPeople Vacation and Mermaid School offers exciting training sessions on how to swim like a pro in mermaid tails and strike the perfect pose for the camera. We’ll kick off with some land training before taking the plunge into the water to practice our mermaiding and modeling skills.

But that's not all! Dive into relaxation and breathing exercises to help you hold your breath longer and get your body in sync with the underwater world.

Get ready for your close-up with our professional photographers, who are always excited to capture the magic of new mermaids and mermen. The stunning underwater scenery of the North Ari Atoll and Baa Atoll provides the perfect backdrop for your underwater photos. Plus, the islands we visit offer unique spots for more fabulous shoots on land. Our experienced team will be there every step of the way to support and guide you.

If you have a diving license, you’re in for some amazing scuba dives. No license? No problem! You can book a try dive onboard or join our guided snorkeling trips.

We’ll also visit small, uninhabited islands for photo shoots and enjoy a beach BBQ.

Additionally, you can take part in beautiful ceremonies and rituals that foster personal growth, deepen your connection to yourself, nature, and others, and help you let go of things that no longer serve you.

When it’s time to relax, the yacht offers various cozy accommodation options to unwind between all the activities. Join us for an unforgettable, magical adventure!

 

 

Hanifaru Bay

Hanifaru Bay is one of the best places in the world to swim with manta rays and is famous for its mass concentrations of manta rays and whale sharks. It is located in a marine reserve on the eastern edge of Baa Atoll in the central atolls of the Maldives. On our mermaid tour 2019 we also had the opportunity to visit Hanifaru Bay. Who is the MerPeople Vacation suitable for?

Have you always been captivated by "The Little Mermaid" and fascinated by the magic of the sea? If so, you've found the perfect place! At the MerPeople Vacation and Mermaid School, we aim to create a welcoming haven for like-minded water lovers to connect, share, and leave with hearts full of love, unforgettable memories, lifelong friends, and stunning photos and videos.

To join our Mermaid Retreat, it's essential that you can swim well and safely. We also recommend a basic level of fitness, as swimming in mermaid tails, especially in the open sea, can be quite challenging.

Most of our underwater shoots will be in shallow waters, and for the deeper dives, we provide support such as safety personnel and buoys to rest on. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned professional, you're welcome here. We cater to all skill levels, from aspiring mers to experienced professionals.

We believe that mermaids and mermen come in all shapes, sizes, colors, ages, and genders. There are no visual criteria to meet, ensuring an inclusive environment for everyone. However, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

 

Photo Shoots at MerPeople Vacation Maldives

In addition to our exciting workshops, training sessions, ceremonies , and open ocean swims, we’ll be making magical memories with plenty of photo shoots! Our dedicated team is here to bring out your inner mermaid and capture your most enchanting moments. Throughout the MerPeople Vacation, we’ll create stunning, unique photos that you’ll treasure forever.

After Mermaid Week, you'll receive a link to view your photos. You can select your favorite 6 included photos, and if you fall in love with more, you can purchase additional ones. Shortly after, you’ll receive the fully edited, high-resolution versions of your selected photos. These beautiful images are perfect for private use and self-promotion on social media or your websites.

 

Partners and Companions

Partners and other companions are absolutely welcome at MerPeople Vacation Maldives! If your friend or partner isn’t into mermaiding and photoshoots, they can dive into the fun with scuba diving (if licensed) or join the guided snorkeling tours. Both diving and snorkeling tours are included in the package, ensuring everyone has an amazing time.

Plus, your companion will also get to choose 6 fabulous photos from the trip. If they prefer, they can even gift these to you, the participating mermaid or merman. It’s all about sharing the magic and making unforgettable memories together!

During our MerPeople Vacation, you’ll be staying aboard the stunning EcoPro Seascape, a yacht that ushers in a new era of quality and comfort in the Maldives. The EcoPro Seascape is designed to host up to 28 guests and is perfect not only for diving enthusiasts but also for anyone interested in a variety of water sports and cruise adventures. The yacht combines eco-friendly practices with luxury, ensuring that your stay is both comfortable and sustainable.
